BRT Structures was formed in 2010 by Brian Smit P.Eng, Philip Sommerville P.Eng., and Linda Reimer to meet the growing demand for blast resistant buildings. As a Structural Engineer with over two decades of experience in engineering, design, and fabrication, Mr. Smit has spent years perfecting blast resistant modular buildings. A complimentary partnership with Philip Sommerville, P. Eng. with over 30 years’ experience in the steel fabrication industry was a natural fit.
Linda Reimer, General Manager/Controller has over 30 years in the structural steel industry, based in the Edmonton Office Linda, manages the finishing of the blast buildings and ensures that BRT Structures produces the highest quality product, on time and on budget.
